Petrogap Oil and Gas Limited is an oil and gas servicing firm in Nigeria. We are presently calling up appropriately qualified candidates to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

 

Job Summary

• The ideal candidate must be one who has a holistic  accounting experience and is very familiar with Financial Reporting, Taxation, and IFRS.

 

Job Responsibilities 

• Outlines the organization’s present financial condition by obtaining information; readying balance sheet, profit and loss statement, preparation of monthly and yearly financial declarations and other reports.
• Conserving balance sheet schedules, ledger accounts, bank reconciliation examination and audit or reconciliation of accounts of the company.
• Payroll management and preparation of monthly sales reports for research.
• Formulate and consolidate the departmental and company’s budget.
• Regular audit of departmental procedures.
• Govern adherence in line with established accounting tenets and company protocols.
• Formulates, conserves and executes financial internal supervisions, strategies and techniques.
• Guaranteeing deductions and prompt remittance of vital schedules and various statutory deductions such as VAT, PAYEE, CIT, Pension Fund, etc.
• Perform monthly closing and account inspection in the finance department.
• Executes statistical, cost and financial examination of financial statements and data, and formulates successive narrative examination for the administration.

 

Job Requirements 

• The ideal candidate must have a B.Sc in Accounting or similar discipline
• ICAN, ACA or ACCA certification is mandated. Candidates in-view will be evaluated.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Vital knowledge or experience in Financial Reporting, Taxation and IFRS is expected.
• Great financial insight and analytical skills.
